Oil and gas jobs requirements for education are usually not an issue. Oil and gas workers all start as manual workers like the helpers, roustabouts, and roughnecks and then work their way to higher positions such as rig drillers and supervisors. Training is the most important part of the job. A driver’s license is also required as there is going to some driving involved in the job. Engineering aides are required to have a 2 year degree while an engineer will need a bachelor’s degree. All the workers have free lodging, meals, and overtime pay. The jobs also require traveling.
