Position Scope:

This position will provide Financial Applications support for teams in the Houston office and in International locations.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Minimum education required: Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Accounting or equivalent.

- Cross functional background in IT and accounting is required for the necessary understanding of both the system requirements and impacts to the financial reporting of the company.

- Minimum of 5 years experience working in similar role with a multi-divisional and worldwide company environment.

- In depth knowledge of SAP FICO module and its integration with Inventory Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Project System (PS) and Payroll (HR) with use of profit and cost centers.

- Understanding of the IT implications of Sarbanes Oxley and Segregation of Duty required.

- Experience with BPC, GRC, Invoice Management Business Object, and Blackline preferred.

- Project experience on full life cycle implementations or upgrades., PMI project methodology and ITIL framework a plus.

- Comfortable working in an environment that requires high attention to details, strong organizational skills, management of deadlines and ability to multitask.

- Experience in Oil and Gas related industries preferred.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Comply with client Code of Conduct and supporting policies, standards and applicable process documentation.

- Perform all work according to agreed expectations of both internal and external customers, focus on doing things right first time, every time and contribute actively to continual improvement activities.

- Ensure the accuracy of all interfaces to the SAP FI module.

- Use SAP expertise and process knowledge to evaluate new features or changes and determine relevance, cost, effort and impact on the system and business processes.

- Develop detailed systems specifications and manage development in liaison with other functional experts and offshore technical resources Provides end user guidance and training ensure the effective utilization of SAP systems.

- Monitor applications support and Responsible for implementing and testing solutions with users.

- Follow IT processes thoroughly and ensure that associated risks are identified, assessed and controlled to an acceptable level

- Remain abreast of developments in Information Technology management methods, regulations and codes and advise management accordingly.

- Monitor applications performance and use trends and results to define, develop, track and close out preventative and corrective action plans.

- Manage project implementations and perform appropriate system validation and testing through the project life cycle. Proactively identify system and business processes improvements.

- Play a central role to ensure SOX compliance, including proper segregation of duties within SAP and process to ensure access limited to users as appropriate.

- Will take on new tasks, applications and projects as assigned.

Work Environment:

The work will be conducted at the client Houston office. Occasional travel to vendors, client’s international offices or to the Drilling Rigs may be required.
