To be considered for this position candidate must live within 30 miles of Midland TX, or willing to relocate to within 30 miles of Midland, TX.
The NGL, H&S DOT Coord II at the Midland, TX site is an experienced safety professional that supports site operations and reports to the NGL Health and Safety Manager in Houston, TX. The successful candidate will provide technical safety, health and DOT guidance on a variety issues that will require good public speaking, writing and computer skills. Travel should be between 25% and 40%.
What You Will Be Responsible For:
Works with site leaders to build safety culture.
Serves as health and safety, technical professional interpreting state and federal regulations and providing compliance direction. Also supports day-to-day DOT activities.
Implements regulatory requirements along with company safety and health policies and procedures.
Coordinates MOC\u2019s, participates in PSSR\u2019s, manages contractor qualification and directs safe work practices).
Leads or facilitates incident investigations ensuring root causes are identified.
Develops, coordinates, and/or conducts required safety and health training.
Tracks adequacy and closure of corrective action items related to incident investigations, audits, agency inspections, etc.
Provides technical support during HS/DOT audits and serves as an audit team member/leader on division and corporate audits.
Supports site physical security program.
Coordinates industrial hygiene efforts for asset.
Offers support to engineering in improving their safety capabilities and knowledge.
Supports operations during sequential and safety meetings; develops data and statistics to support regional goals and objectives
May provide due diligence expertise in mergers and acquisitions.
Provides H&S support to capital projects in the asset.
Bachelors of Science degree in Safety or similar technical degree with a minimum of five years industrial safety and health experience in the oil and gas industry preferred.
Candidates without a degree must have a minimum of ten years industrial safety and health experience, in the oil and gas industry to be considered.
Prior experience with Department of Transportation Pipeline Safety regulations preferred.
Certification such as CIH, CSP, PE, etc. preferred
