Fuel Procurement Manager

OverviewAs a Fuel Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for the direction and coordination of all fuel, oil, coolant, and diesel exhaust fluid purchasing activities of the Company\u2019s Fleet Services Department. You will develop short and long-range planning goals and objectives related to procuring these commodities for the Company. You will also be Accountable for the effective performance of the duties and responsibilities of direct reports. You will manage Fleet Services\u2019 relationships with outside fueling vendors and assist in the construction of new Fleet Services shop locations.
ResponsibilitiesOversee the purchase of the Company\u2019s fuel, lubricants, oil, and diesel exhaust fluid. Manage Fleet Services\u2019 use of outside fuel vendors, writing contracts and facilitating negotiations when necessary. Assist in the construction of new Fleet Services facilities by supervising the installation of fuel systems while ensuring compliance with applicable government regulations. Manage all third-party fuel card programs for all Company vehicles. Develop short and long-term plans to improve environmental efficacy by leveraging new technology and operating process. Develop and implement plans to further the goals of the Company\u2019s sustainability plan. Direct the proper handling and disposal or recycling of Fleet Services generated waste. Responsible for daily follow up to ensure drivers utilize bulk fuel as first option. Establish and maintain vendor performance measurements and facility participation in specified programs. Responsible for assigning and accounting for all Company cars through the Company\u2019s third-party provider and at the direction of the VP of Fleet Services.
QualificationsFor this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field, 5 years of related business experience to include previous experience within a maintenance department, previous experience managing bid purchasing process and evaluating the services and products offered by outside vendors. We would prefer for you to have previous fleet maintenance experience, to include experience with hands-on shop maintenance repair activities.
