HollyFrontier Refining & Marketing LLC located in Dallas, TX is seeking a Category Manager. This Category Manager will partner with business stakeholders to establish, develop and drive multi-year vision and strategies for key categories; utilize six-sigma strategic sourcing process to execute the category plans to leverage volumes for the best total cost; drive holistic approach to supplier selection - delivery, quality, service, cost and innovation; and manage key suppliers.This position is not eligible for International Relocation Program benefits.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (Functions considered essential as defined by ADA):\tDevelops relationships with key business owners to understand the short- and long-term goals and needs of the business related to assigned category (including demand, quality expectations, delivery needs and cost).\tUtilizes spend analysis to establish a detailed view of the current spend segmentation for assigned categories.\tResearches and benchmarks the market for assigned categories and develops a robust category management plan (including risks, trends, supply base, costs and competitors).\tDesigns, implements, and manages multi-year strategies to meet business needs for assigned categories.\tIdentifies and manages a portfolio of opportunities for the assigned categories.\tPlans, designs, executes and manages strategic sourcing activities with suppliers for various categories.\tWorks with the applicable teams to negotiate category specific contracts.\tDesigns and manages the company’s Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process to ensure key suppliers meet the company’s business needs.\tWorks with the procurement specialists to ensure supplier commitments are transacted per the terms of the agreements.\tDrives cross-site buy-in and compliance to category strategies and continuous improvement.\tValidates and monitors price adjustments and communicates changes to the affected stakeholders. Provides pricing forecast information as needed.\tDevelops cost models for cost component comparisons in negotiations with suppliers.\t\tSpecial assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.\t\tExperience:\t\tA minimum of five (5) years of procurement, supply chain, category management, strategic sourcing or contract management experience, or related project management and industry experience, is required.\t\tPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\t\tA minimum of two (2) years’ experience in oil and gas industry is preferred.\t\tEDUCATIONAL LEVEL:\t\tA minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or other related discipline, is required.\t\tPREFERRED EDUCATION:\t\tA Master’s Degree in Business Administration is preferred.\t\tREQUIRED SKILLS:\t\t\tStrong project management skills and ability to multi-task complex requirements. \tStrong written and verbal communications skills. \tStrong analytical skills.
