Generate and identify system optimization projects by evaluating high pressure systems and areas of low reservoir pressure (most sensitive to fluctuations in line pressure).
Develop and tune full reservoir (tank) and hydraulic model to imitate gathering system responses for optimization opportunities.
Utilize models to generate potential operating expense reduction, gathering system pressure reduction, liquid hold up and increased sweep efficiency, and volume uplift.
Model economic merits incorporating simulated production forecasts, operating costs and capital costs in addition to commercial and contractual obligations.
Coordinate project implementation with gatherers, in-house compression, commercial and operations.
Monitor and report on project outcomes and ensure proper cost allocation suited to changes in gathering system.
Identify areas of high gathering pressure in addition to low reservoir pressure where gathering system optimization is not practical for well head compression deployment.
Provide technical gathering support for regulatory, operations, production engineering and other operators including:
Wellhead, POD, and lateral compression concerns
Well yields, shrinks, gathering fees and interest
Data and analysis: (Historical static, casing tubing pressure; gathering system operators, location of pipelines, etc.)
Evaluate optimization proposals from other operators in basin to capture gathering system synergies.
Work directly with gatherer modelers to identify and analyze each project for highest sustainable, economic value.
Liaison for gathering projects in San Juan and technical support for contractual negotiations
