Supports the warehouse/yard activities by maintaining the inventory control system and assisting with procuring inventory, special orders and distributing materials/parts to requestors.
Loads/unloads materials within a warehouse/yard utilizing hand trucks, fork lifts, hoists, or other handling equipment to move materials.
Receives materials – signs off, unpacks, records and dispatches when appropriate.
Inspects goods upon delivery to verify delivered goods match order specifications and are in good condition.
Researches any delivery delays/inconsistencies of materials ordered against Purchase Order (PO).
Reports damaged goods to supervisor for action.
Record received materials in inventory system.
Sort, label and store delivered goods in appropriate location.
Arrange storage to optimize space.
Works at counter and receives requests for materials.
Picks/packs outgoing goods per written/verbal requests either from stock or orders received.
Packs materials for shipment according to transportation method.
Coordinates/delivers materials to destination upon request.
Record shipped/issued materials in inventory system.
Notifies supervisor when materials need replenishing.
Participates in physical inventories and cycle counts.
Performs general housekeeping which may include sweeping or keeping yard/stock room clean and organized.
Identifies vendor(s) that can source/supply items; obtains quotes as necessary.
Work is mostly routine with occasional independent judgment and discretion.
Consults with more experienced Inventory Coordinators when dealing with non-routine problems.
May assists entry level Inventory Coordinators with issues.
Stops work due to unsafe conditions or situations.
Works closely with Procurement team.
Works with asset team superintendents/foreman.
Works with moderate supervision.
Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
High school education or equivalent; Associates degree preferred.
2 years’ previous experience in purchasing, supply chain, or logistics required.
Oil and gas experience preferred.
Must have good interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
Knowledge of material handling equipment required.
Must have knowledge of warehouse management systems.
Must be well organized and be able to multi-task.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Able to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Able to lift/move up to 50 pounds on regular basis, and occasionally lift/ move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
Able to deal with wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat/cold.
Work environment may include moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, airborne particles and moderate to loud noise, requiring consistent use of appropriate PPE.
Willing and able to be called during weekend and/or off-duty hours.
