Description:

VAREC, a Leidos company is seeking a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to sell VAREC products in their assigned territory.

The Regional Sales Manager will prepare quotes, proposals and sales presentations for support of the sales effort. The RSM will create and manage annual business plans for assigned Sales Representatives. Will interface and coordinate with Sales Representatives to grow sales in assigned geographies by conducting joint sales calls, providing training and by providing product application assistance. The RSM will build a sales pipeline and provide bi-weekly updates to Management. The successful candidate must have the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks, work with minimal supervision and meet demanding deadlines.

Major Responsibilities:

Create and manage annual business plans with each assigned Sales Representative/Reseller

Provide training and sales support to Sales Representatives/Resellers and directly to End Users/Key Accounts

Develop and qualify new sales inquiries and provide technical review including proposals, quotations, technical documentation and drawings

Follow up on outstanding proposals and quotations - manage and report bi-weekly on a sales pipeline

Pursue and develop new Service Providers for Varec product lines in conjunction with Sales Representatives

Successful candidate must feel comfortable demonstrating products and application concepts directly with customers and will be expected to answer a wide range of questions regarding the product lines

Capture new inventory management and terminal automation software business with Oil & Gas key accounts

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.

Candidate must have 4 - 5 years of direct sales experience managing Sales Representatives

Proficiency using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio

Promote and adhere to Leidos Ethics Program

Must possess strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to travel up to 50% of the time - strong organization and time management skills required

Field experience in Oil & Gas applications regarding bulk tank farms, refineries and load rack terminal automation facilities is a plus
