We are seeking a Mid-Level Project Manager / Biologist to provide support on various environmental projects in the Permian Basin of Texas and New Mexico. Experience in the oil and gas environmental industry is a plus.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
Prepare and direct biological studies and reports;
Establish scopes of work, budgets, and schedules;
Direct technical efforts of other biologists and ecologists;
Prepare proposals and develop work prospects;
Initiate and participate in Business development activities
A MS degree in biology, wildlife or natural resources with at least 5 years of experience, or BS degree in biology, wildlife or natural resources with at least 7 years of experience is required. Desired applicant may be a generalist or may specialize in one or a combination of botany, wetland delineation and permitting, terrestrial and aquatic ecology (plants, wildlife, and fisheries), and experience and capabilities must also include: Project Management-Environmental impact analysis, regulatory compliance (strong ESA and CWA credentials preferred) and permitting processes; U.S. Army Corps of Engineers- related Wetland Delineation Training; writing proposals and technical reports; managing NEPA projects or preparing sections thereof. Experience preparing Resource Management Plans (RMPs) preferred. Previous experience with project management, marketing, proposal preparation and client and regulatory interaction is helpful.
Candidate must be highly motivated, customer focused, and work well in a professional and team-oriented environment. Candidate must also have the ability to manage a heavy workload and travel as needed. Excellent written and verbal communication, client interaction and organizational skills, as well as proficiency with MS Office applications required.
