Position Title: Measurement Analyst

Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Marathon Oil is seeking a measurement analyst to provide support for measurement activities surrounding ongoing field development in the Oklahoma Resource Basin. The primary focus of this role is management and reporting of meter accuracy and efficiency with the utilization of the Flow-Cal application. The selected candidate will apply sound knowledge and technical skills in evaluating and managing production data within the Flow-Cal database.
The role will require close interfaces with measurement technicians, measurement supervisors, and field production data management technicians to help to optimize the quality and accuracy of production data. This position will also require working with various support teams in Oklahoma to ensure efficient delivery of requested information. Effective communication and organization skills are a must.
Review measurement data and system balances daily. Account for required volumes using specific measurement practices, standards and software applications.
Responsibilities and Duties
*A thorough understanding of FlowCal, TestIT, and RocLink, including extensive experience in the hands on operation of these systems for measurement applications. *Understanding of oil, gas and water hydrocarbon measurement field practices, sampling and analysis, metering principles and measurement technology *Experience in system and plant reconciliation, mis-measurement analysis, loss control, end of month closeout, report distribution, customer volume import and export, meter proving and meter calibration data management (import/export) and reporting, data management of gas and liquid sample analyses, balance report creation and management, and ad hoc reports such as DP and beta ratio reports. *Provide guidance to team on measurement issues concerning pipeline customers, allocation, accounting and other third parties. Oversee data tracking and analysis of measurement data such as equipment, meter characteristics, gas and liquid quality, etc. *Provide oversight to ensure oil and gas samples are taken and appropriate analysis is performed, recorded and actioned as appropriate. *Provide oversight to ensure that meter calibrations are performed on schedule. *Experience in leading measurement initiatives for the protection of company assets. *Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communications and teaming skills *Oversee FlowCal operation and maintenance procedures. *Utilize Marathon programs such as ProCount, eVIN, SCADA and Spotfire to assist with exception resolution *Strong technical knowledge in Measurement technologies and regulations. Proven design, construction, commissioning and operational background. *Experience in API & AGA requirements.

Education: High school diploma (or equivalent)
Experience: 3 years oil and gas production experience
Computer Skills: Proficiency with the Microsoft suit of products and intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills required. Prior work building databases is an asset
Travel: Percentage of travel for this position is 25% within Marathon's Oklahoma Resource Basin (OKC, Marlow, Watonga)
Other Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, planning, and organizing skills. Good documentation skills required to support analysis and problem resolution. Understanding of NGL measurement.
