Identify problems and needs within

the Upstream sector to design and develop Value Engineering systems that

result in improvements in Safety, Efficiency and Cost Reduction for the

drilling industry and its customers. Utilizing a thorough understanding of drilling,

drilling equipment, limitations of technology in drilling equipment’s design

and the design and development of mechanized systems and assessing new

technology and there impacts to the Upstream sector in the Oil & Gas.

Responsible for the overwatch and

supervision of internal and external resources in the design, development

& testing of prototype system with special emphasis on network, controls

& electrical systems and their eventual commercialization and transition

to product manufacturing. Responsible for working with Nabors’ Legal to ensure

the identification, capture/documentation and management of Intellectual

Property (IP) developed in the pursuit of Problem Solving and Proto-type


You will be expected to carry out

various responsibilities throughout all stages of problem solving and product

development. Primary function will be in the development and management of

Projects for the Nabors Advance Development Programs Group; ensuring for IP

capture, Fiduciary responsibility & Assessment of Project Results

identifying Value Propositions, Technology Challenges and identifying the

critical issues for viability.

focused on solving problems resulting in Value Engineering Solutions (Safe,

Efficient & Cost Effective). Drive

growth and expansion in controls & electrical engineering teams’

competence, design to cost, metrics driven decisions, quality product delivered

on-time within cost targets, and implementation of practices designed to

measure and deliver engineering optimization. Responsible

for the day to day execution of specified projects and their associated costs,

ensuring product developed is performed in an accurate & timely manner

giving advice on the prioritization of tasks, deliverables and resource across

the portfolio of work scopes. Responsible

for working with Nabors’ personnel in order to accurately estimate costs for

ADPG Project implementation and determining estimated value of new IP based on

marketing impact. Conduct

market assessment of equipment and the associated IP in order to determine the

cost viability of technology. Responsible

for the management of assigned ADPG Projects’ cost ensuring the reconciliation

of all project budgets with general ledger and cash flow reports. Assessment

of current Industry processes and procedures in order to identify opportunities

for the development of new products and services resulting in improved safety

& efficiency; with a target for reduction in cost. Assessment

of technology from outside the upstream sector of the Oil & Gas in order to

assess it viability and use. Responsible

for assessing and determining technologies viability and limitations. Responsible

for developing product requirements and specification through working with

Nabors personnel or its clients. Conceptualize

and institute improvements to products and their manufacturability. Evaluate

proposed improvements to processes and products based on analysis of regulatory

requirements, product quality needs, ergonomics, safety, environmental and

economics. Interface

with professional organizations and regulatory bodies within the upstream

sector in the Oil & Gas Document

work via reports, lab notebooks, and design file entries. Comply

with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) guidelines. Work with

manufacturing team to develop, evaluate, and optimize cost-effective

manufacturing processes and equipment. Coordinate

with manufacturing and quality teams in development of design history file,

device master record, and other required design transfer data and systems to

ensure integrity and quality of submitted data. Perform

and write validations of product, processes and equipment. Work with quality

team to ensure all appropriate validations are completed in accordance with

regulatory requirements. Develop

and perform performance tests on products to characterize and document their

efficiency, viability & safety. Provides

critical analysis of engineering, vendor and subcontractor’s cost and advice on

recovery and resolution plan. Lead and

manage FEA, FMEAs, FMECA with emphasis for the control system.Mentor

of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalentEXPERIENCE:10

years of experience in the design and development of drilling equipment

controls & systems, 8-10 years of operational engineering experience in the

Upstream sector in Project Management and/or Project Engineering. Must

have experience with management of personnel & 3rd party suppliers Extensive

Worldwide general business experience, which includes preferably minimum 10

years in Project Management or Project Engineering HARDWARE
