Senior Analyst NORTH AMERICA NATURAL GAS RESEARCH & FORECASTS
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly Reports into **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Head of North America Natural Gas Research
Support target customers: analysts/traders active in North America Natural Gas markets
Lead and develop North America Natural Gas analytical deliverables for **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. customers
Develop and/or enhance models of natural gas supply and demand
Development and maintenance of data charts/tables in Eikon
Perform statistical analysis on time-series data
Perform maintenance/updates of econometric models written in Matlab code (preferred)
Write morning reports covering daily North America gas fundamentals
Bachelors Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Economics, Finance or other relevant field
Minimum of 3 years experience (either academic or commercial) in analysis, model development
Good working knowledge of analytical tools such as Matlab, R, SPSS, SAS, etc.
Demonstrated analytical skills, excellent teamwork and communication skills
Fundamental analysis skills especially drivers of price formation and direction, supply & demand, storage
Self-motivated and independent demonstrated success initiating new ideas for product development
Advanced degrees: MA/MS/MBA in one or more fields listed in Minimum Qualifications.
3 years experience of fundamental analysis of North America natural gas markets
Experience researching and applying North America natural gas pipeline flows - regional specialization preferred
Experience writing natural gas market reports or research papers
Experience using GPCM (Gas Pipeline Competition Model)
Technical skills in application usage/development involving Oracle/SQL, Java, Python highly advantageous
