Job Summary

This entry-level position analyzes operations processes, maintains software and monitors operations activities including production data, measurement data and field maintenance in order to provide basic support and assistance to the Operations teams.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Monitors, analyzes, and interprets real-time field operations data which may include field alarms, measurement, production and drilling data

Provides analytical and technical support to managers, engineers and field staff in all stages of development

Identify measurement, production and drilling best practices and issues by performing trend analysis, creating probability distributions and completing data quality projects

May maintain databases through loading, verifying, manipulating, analyzing and reporting operations data

May ensure data integrity efforts, data reliability and accessibility by building queries, developing logic and writing code in existing systems

Reviews daily, monthly, quarterly and annual new wells data and production in order to assist field offices in maintaining accuracy of delivery systems and allocation

Evaluates balances and discrepancies as related to volume recovery

May provide guidance to field personnel as required on industry best practices, standards and efficiency efforts

Generates high quality reports and presentations for field staff, departmental and upper management use

Generates reports and provides accurate information to internal clients, regulatory agencies and other Business Units

Job Specific Skills

Ability to work and communicate effectively with co-workers and system users

Demonstrates strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize projects in order to meet established deadlines

Demonstrate strong computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office and Spotfire applications. Able to learn company specific applications.

Possesses a working knowledge of gas and liquid measurement systems

Understands process flow diagrams, P&ID drawings, and electrical wiring diagrams

Possesses an advanced knowledge of remote communications, RTU principles and concepts, PLC system design, and programming

Demonstrates working knowledge of instrument and controls, low-voltage electronics, and basic electrical theory and principles

Basic knowledge of oilfield operations and mechanical equipment used in daily operations.

Basic knowledge of drilling specific parameters and there application

Basci knowledge of drilling terminology

Able to assimilate new information in order to solve problems and make decisions under time-constraints.

Basic knowledge of statistical analysis techniques.

Working knowledge of horizontal drilling, directional surveys, and geosteering concepts.

Education

Minimum: High school diploma or GED

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university

Experience

Minimum: 0 - 2 years related work experience
