Shell aspires to implement project execution processes and systems that will position it as an industry leader. This requires the Workflow Consultant to support and promote the use of proven solutions and support implementing innovative Information Management applications to help achieve the Project’s or Assets objectives. The purpose of the role is to contribute to the deployment, use and support of various Information Management applications supporting the Capital Projects and Operating Assets in the America’s.

In a given Region or a Capital Project the Workflow consultant will work with the IM Lead, Data and document leads/controllers to support the deployment of Information Management systems that support data / document control and management. This is done by contributing to the deployment of systems, setup of work environments for project and asset team. Provide functional support for these deployed systems. On the regional level the Workflow consultant will often be part of the Applications workflow and support team to ensure that the deployed applications functioning correctly.

Setup IM applications to support Projects and Assets

Provide functional support for Information Management applications used by projects and Assets

Support changing business requirements within the Information Management applications environment, implementing approved changes for Capital Project / Operating Asset, and validate that they’re compliant with global intents and definitions.

Liaise with other regional and global workflow consultants to enable exchange of knowledge and solutions regarding standardization of deployments and encountered problems.

Provide consultancy on the deployment of Information Management applications to capital project and asset teams in the region.

Support migration of application content to new versions of applications and/or transition in to new applications.

Support IT enabled simplification by assisting in the development and maintenance of connectivity and exchange of information between applications.

Document and log the functional solutions provided into a knowledge database of Information Management applications.

Assist in the deployment of local and global processes and applications by partaking in functional reviews and application test activities.

Fully comply with and adhere to, all Group and UI IT standards and processes.

Facilitates change management and trainings with train the trainer for any deployment.

Requirements:

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.

Bachelor's Degree required. Degree in Engineering preferred.

Minimum ten (10) years' IT Business Analysis or Project Management experience. Oil and Gas industry experience is highly desirable.

Experience in Fault resolution processes and Change management and Deployment of IT solutions.

Comprehensive knowledge on typical Upstream / Downstream Information Management's applications and processes required to support a Capital Project and operate an Asset. Examples are;

Meridian

SharePoint

IDB/AHA

VTL/SPF

Project Vantage​

Knowledge of Project Management methodologies including Shell's IT Projects Delivery Framework (PDF).

Experience in Opportunity Realization Process (ORP), DCAF framework, Project Standards and the DEP framework preferred.
